Description

SolidWorks is 3D mechanical design software that runs on Windows operating system and is developed by Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp., a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes. This software is used industry wide for increased design productivity and high precision to real-world design scenarios. The software holds the capabilities of reverse engineering, advance wire and pipe routing functionality, design validation tools, and much more.

Professionals who use SolidWorks are often referred to as Modeller/ draftsman/ Designers/ Design Engineers. Many top engineering/ Manufacturing firm uses SolidWorks around the globe.

The individual knows SolidWorks along with engineering knowledge has a significant career prospect in engineering design sector.

Objective/ Key Learning

Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks training course delivers the fundamental concepts and designing skills to transform ideas into detailed designs for the products. The training imparts the knowledge and skills for testing the product performance against forces and motion using the rich simulation feature of this mechanical design automation software. The course expands the learning curve by teaching how to draw sketches and build parametric models of parts and assemblies.

The candidates by the end of the training will be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Introduction to SolidWorks® Basics & User interface
  • Introduction to Sketching and Understanding Geometric Relations
  • Sketching and Basic part modelling
  • Creating Swept boss/cuts, Lofted boss/cuts, Boundary boss/cuts, Revolve boss/cuts, Mirror
  • Applied features
  • Creating Patterns, Draft Analysis, Mass Properties, Editing material
  • Editing and creating different Configurations of a Part.
  • Bottom up Assembly Modelling, Using Assemblies
  • Using drawings, Using and Creating Different Views, Tolerance and Datum Symbols, Design Table and Bill of Material
  • Surface Modelling
  • Sheet Metal Modelling
  • Product Design/ Skeleton Modelling
  • Drawings Generation
  • Software Customization, Creating Templates, Changing the Default Options, Import/Export of Files,Files Format and Usage
